He is also a solo recording artist. He wanted his Dean Cadillac 1980 custom painted in the theme 'death in a funny way'. The finished graphic from Dead Cat Custom's artist Howard Reynolds shows a graveyard filled with deceased musicians and the Grim Reaper asking "Wanna join my band?" With matching headstock this stunning guitar has been painstakingly airbrushed and hand painted. Finished with black crushed mirror pieces, beautiful purple and black paintwork and all black hardware. Alder body with fully copper shielded cavities. Allparts (10" rad) fat Maple neck with Jumbo frets. Pickups are Wizard 'Freaky' matched Strat set. As the name suggest something a little off-the-wall. Flat Alnico 5 poles huge DC resistance and tight windings make these real nasty monsters. They are dark, loud and mean, great for grunge, garage and heavy rock. Gambling is the theme with the guitar face covered in a compostion of casino and gambling images. After several painting attempts by himself he decided to ask Dead Cat Custom for some fresh paint. The guitar was stripped, prepared from the wood up and kept to a blue colour theme (Bernie likes blue guitars). A band of Sparklescent Blue running around the guitar was finished off with the first lines of lyrics from Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC to name but a few, that 'Fireball' play. On the face of the guitar in gold are the lyrics from Deep Purple's 'Fireball', which inspired the name of the band originally.
